Our accomplishments for 2011
- Eliminated political patronage jobs created under prior Republican administration during the past 4 years saving taxpayers thousands of dollars.
- Created a fair resident parking program for the whole town and not just the areas where political supporters reside.
- Merged Zoning and Planning Boards providing taxpayers the same service and saving thousands of dollars for the taxpayers, eliminating excess attorney, engineer, planner and other employees.
- Merged local welfare board with County of Bergen providing the residents who receive these benefits with the same service and eliminating unnecessary positions saving taxpayers thousands of dollars.
- Hiring of professionals who are keeping professional fees at a reasonable level and not overcharging the taxpayers for services.
- Changed the municipal budget from an outdated calendar to a system where we receive one tax bill per year with equal tax payments.
- Hired company to do a town wide reassessment which will help provide taxpayer relief.
- Improved recreational facilities and fields for our recreational programs
- Consolidated and outsourced positions in order to save taxpayer money while improving services.
- Enacted a budget with a zero tax increase for the year.
